Cantinetta Antinori London: Tuscan Hospitality in the Heart of Knightsbridge

Cantinetta Antinori London brings the warmth, heritage, and refined simplicity of Tuscany to Knightsbridge and Belgravia. A partnership with the legendary Antinori family—whose winemaking legacy spans an extraordinary 26 generations—this is the family’s very first UK restaurant. Located at 4 Harriet Street, SW1X 9JR, just off Sloane Street, the venue offers guests a complete immersion into Tuscan lifestyle: signature cuisine, rare estate wines, live jazz, and an atmosphere shaped by centuries of Italian tradition.

A Tuscan Home in London

Joining the family’s celebrated outposts in Florence, Vienna, Zurich, Moscow, and Monaco, Cantinetta Antinori London marks a significant debut in the UK. The restaurant occupies two floors of a charming Knightsbridge building, its interiors inspired by the original Cantinetta in Florence.

Classical Florentine motifs, warm woods, brass vine-leaf detailing, and curated decorative pieces from the Antinori family collection come together to create a space that feels both elegant and intimate. With a bar, private dining rooms, and mezzanine seating, the design invites guests to step into what feels like a Tuscan palazzo in the heart of London.

“We have always dreamed of opening Cantinetta Antinori in London, a city that has always welcomed our wines,” says Allegra Antinori. “This restaurant is our way of sharing our heritage, our cuisine and our hospitality with Londoners and international guests alike, just as we would in our home in Tuscany.”

Cuisine, Wine and Atmosphere

Cantinetta Antinori London offers a dining experience that is both relaxed and refined, showcasing traditional and modern Tuscan dishes crafted from seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Highlights for the autumn and winter season include:

  • Bistecca alla Fiorentina – Scottish T-Bone steak for two (1.2 kg)
  • Tagliolini All’Astice – Lobster tagliolini with bisque and cherry tomatoes
  • Filetto al Pepe Verde – Beef tenderloin with peppercorn sauce

The wine list is exclusively sourced from the Antinori estates across Tuscany and beyond, including rare and vintage selections curated by the family’s wine experts.

Enhancing the ambiance, live jazz performances take place every Friday from 7:00 pm, offering a warm musical backdrop to evening service.

A Partnership Rooted in Excellence

The Antinori family’s influence in Italian wine stretches back to 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. Over the centuries, they have cultivated some of Italy’s most celebrated wines, including renowned labels such as Solaia and Tignanello.

Founded in 1957 by Niccolò Antinori in the family’s 15th-century Florentine palazzo, Cantinetta Antinori has grown into a global culinary concept. The London opening is a collaboration with Riccardo Giraudi, whose hospitality group is renowned for luxury dining across Europe. Together, the partnership brings Antinori’s deep vinicultural heritage and Giraudi’s contemporary hospitality expertise to one of London’s most prestigious neighbourhoods.
