The river flows in a chorus of the night that becomes your every dawn; grass flickering in an oasis green, the sun reminding you that you are home as it reverberates through an open field.

You may have fears, you may sense this isn’t forever, but we are home here — the bright light calls the field forward from its gentle hum. And just as sleep is never agreed upon nor is the awakening.

A communal experience reflective of a wider human understanding across the continents that became quieter in recent chapters of centuries prior to this now. That’s home.

We’re moving through the sprawling grassy terrain with earthy stones carried by the field and the warm ground, where the movement is known by the field.

Whether the River Avon in Britain where Stonehenge came to cohere or the Boyne Valley in Ireland where Newgrange would find its way, this was a world rich in meaning and depth even if something in that experience went quiet for some time.

Through the Equinox while wasps, bees and flies dance along the land in a warm hurry, humanity too more connected to the field holds the felt sense of liminality, darkness and light, the past and future. It was always this way beneath the surface.

And in time without word of mouth, the felt atmosphere will cohere towards a migration to the stones for the solstice from people across the wider, winter land.

With a new Sun calling, the field brings us towards a centre of the living world.

Masses of women, men and children move in numbers from various locations, the orientation of the natural world cohering with them, feeling without needing to see each other directly yet that there are others moving with them at a shared distance, that this is a meeting of souls.

And in our now, we may too be trying to sense others at a shared distance, moving on a journey together, trying to find our way to a new centre even if trusting in what can’t be seen is a hard test for minds told that what was shown on the screen or shown in front of us is all there is. And those matter but more is available.

And perhaps we were a field that went a little quiet for a short while, though quiet is relative as the great musicians of previous decades show the warmth never vanished.

You laugh with family and neighbours, cracking jokes that feels better than could be, the shared ocean is warm and it’s vibrant and the body and words find their way to song. 200 generations before the internet would reconnect a world too fast, a resonance wave finds its way echoing through the stones and the echoes grow in the perfect frequency that everyone feels their way through and somewhere takes hold that isn’t elsewhere but more at home than should be possible.

Upon the long spread out of the human species across the planet, the rise and fall of empire, the rise of religion, the medieval history and into the industrial era. With digital technologies, the species has reconnected in noise and friction.

But in time we’re trying to find our way, because we’re forever a social species. The September Equinox has arrived recently and we’re in the liminal, between the dark and light but friends are coming. We’re here, it’s us, the human species and we always find a way.

And the stone knew where to go, each did, without direction because the field held what was understood. Something that is trying to find its way again, trying to wake up, so that those songs shall return to the local green.

Down the river, the stones knew the way with us, and coherence that no amount of planning could achieve did arise because only in true depth does the best of human flourishing and capacity arise. We just don’t know it yet and yet we do. The stone knows where it goes and others are on the same journey; in time it can feel more real if we hold on. The stone knows where it goes.
